With the last couple days in southern Alberta being quite warm, the water temperatures have risen quite a bit and the fish are starting to move around more actively into the shallows. The fish are feeding aggressively, look for weed beds and quick drop-offs. The wind this week was minimal and produced multiple occasions where visibility was crystal clear up to 8 feet on some lakes.

Work lighter, flashy flies when it is very bright out, dark flies tend to be more productive in the evenings or if it is cloudy out. And if you are planning on hitting up any of the lakes that reside in the EID zone make sure to get your boat inspected and stickered before you head to the lake.
