With the recent rainfall, southern Alberta has been getting the bow river and surrounding creeks are on high streamflow alert. Today the bow has bumped back up to 222cm/s. If you are looking to hit the bow this week, anglers have been having good luck stripping streamers and nymphing within the first 10-15’ of the river off the bank. Darker patterns tend to be more productive as the fish can see them better however don't shy away from throwing your white and tan streamers as well.

If you aren't too interested in tackling high muddy water but would still like to get out fishing. Check out our runoff alternatives page here: 12”
