With the recent rainfall, the bow river and surrounding creeks are on high streamflow alert. The bow river is slowly starting to drop down again, however, the upcoming rain in the forecast may bump it back up. The Elbow River is still running very high and dirty affecting the bow river's clarity downstream of the confluence. If you are looking to hit the bow this weekend, focus your efforts above the elbow river confluence for better water visibility. Anglers have been having good luck stripping streamers and nymphing within the first 10-15’ of the river off the bank. Darker patterns tend to be more productive as the fish can see them better however don't shy away from throwing your white and tan streamers as well.
