Bow River Report


If you are heading to fish the bow river this week, Stoneflies and Streamers are the names of the game. Stonefly activity is starting to pick up as water levels are beginning to level out after the rain we have received over the last couple weeks. The fish have started to move closer into the banks and are on the prowl for stonefly adults, stone nymphs and tasty streamers. Working the first 10-15ft of the bank with streamers or stonefly dry/dropper combinations have proven to be productive. Darker subsurface patterns tend to be more productive as the fish can see them better. However, don't shy away from throwing your lighter, flashier streamers.
